Do You Take Freedom Personally?

I am sure by now you have been pounded with enough "Independence Day" messages to last you for a while....so I will ask you to continue reading and promise to keep it short.

It is no astounding news that so much of what we and our children enjoy today has been the result of what others, possibly our some of very own ancestors, have sacrificed for the cause of freedom. Most Americans were fortunate enough to be born into this state of freedom...though many of us don't really know how to use it to reach the highest good and sometimes take it for granted.

My questions for you today is, "Do you take freedom personally?"

Are you in the group of those who take freedom for granted? Feeling entitled or complacent, maybe?
Or,
Are you in the line of those who are grateful? Have a burning desire to keep it expanding in all ways?

The answer to the question for each of us is not 'how we feel', but "what do we DO?"

The time is now to break destructive patterns from our past and the fear of change. By confronting our fears, doubts and anxieties, we create new thought patterns...that lead to new actions. With new ways of approaching situations, we open ourselves up to interesting new experiences, healthy habits and better relationships.

Think of all of the good we could do in our neighborhoods, cities and culture if we left the baggage of fear and doubt behind. What a great way to live :o)
